Hello, my name is Ky and I have been a musician for over ten years now. I moved from Santa Barbara to Austin about a year ago to pursue a musical career with my sister and our band Let Flo Go. I perform locally and have played over 100 shows in California and Austin.
Having studied music and performed professionally for years, I have developed and refined my curriculum on how to control, project, and protect your voice when singing.
I also love playing the ukulele and find it to be an excellent way to introduce young or inexperienced players to the world of stringed instruments. For those new to the guitar, I help develop a strong foundation by teaching rhythm, strumming, chords, understanding tabs, etc- everything you need in order to no longer need me!
My strongest goal in teaching music is to show my students just how exciting and fun music can be, whether they want to perform professionally or simply sound better during karaoke.
Music is my passion, so I bring energy and excitement to every lesson! It is my goal to inspire my students to look forward to pursuing more music- with or without me. I believe it is my job as the teacher to adjust my teaching style to the student, not vice versa.
