Introducing…Miss Lainey Bernstein!

Lainey Bernstein is a singer-songwriter who is known not only for her wide vocal range, but also for her stylistic versatility. She has a degree in Vocal Performance from Texas Woman’s University.

Her teaching experience is vast- she taught voice in the Lake Highlands public schools in Dallas for 11 years. Miss Bernstein taught piano at Park Cities School of Music, where she also directed two musical productions.

Miss Bernstein has taught performance workshops, stage presence classes, acting, musical theater classes, as well as preschool music. This is her 17th year teaching private voice, introductory piano, and music theory lessons.

Miss Bernstein is also a recording artist. She released her first inspirational CD in 2007 and her second CD in 2014. All of her music can be found on iTunes and Spotify.

Pre-Covid, she was a drummer in a Japanese Taiko Style drum group which allowed her even more opportunities for performance and creative expression.

She was the Music Director at CSLDallas, which was her Spiritual Home until she left Dallas in August of 2022. She is now the Music Director at Unity Church of Austin.

Since moving to Austin last year, Miss Bernstein has become very familiar with Eanes ISD! She served as a long-term substitute at Westlake High School during the 2022-2023 school year, subbing in as choir director during the fall semester and as fashion design teacher in the spring. She is currently working on her teacher’s certification to work in Eanes.
