Piano, Voice, and Guitar Instructor

With over 15 years of teaching and performance experience, Nita has a unique teaching style that is both engaging, nurturing and educational. She has enjoyed teaching piano/voice/guitar to students ages 3-16 in both the D.C. and L.A. metro areas, and in Austin since 2022!

Lessons are catered to each student’s ability, interests and needs. Students will learn rudimentary skills like reading music (or sight singing for voice students), basic music theory, and have a chance to play and perform their favorite songs and/or express their creativity through songwriting or improvisation.

Nita believes that learning music is a fine blend of technical and creative skills that requires patience, discipline, and a willingness to explore and have fun. She provides her students with a supportive yet structured environment to learn and grow and is excited to help students find their own unique expression.

Outside of teaching, she also writes music, performs live and recently scored the music for a short Indie film in Austin. She is excited to meet and work with new students who are also passionate about music and ready to learn!
