Rebecca Patek
Piano & Violin Instructor
Rebecca began playing violin at the age of three and piano at the age of eight. She studied classically, in addition to performing with bluegrass bands on the violin and rock bands on the piano in high school. She went to college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she studied classical music with Varton Manoogian and Parry Karp of the Pro Arte Quartet.
In 2010 Rebecca moved to Austin, TX and began teaching violin and piano lessons. Additionally she is active performer- playing with several country, western swing, and bluegrass bands including the Show and Tellers, Melissa Carper, Devin Jake.
She enjoys teaching the Suzuki Method and Piano Adventures as well as alternative styles such as jazz and bluegrass. She enjoys incorporating singing into her student's piano and violin training when the interest exists.
